UK HOMES WORST INSULATED IN EUROPE

UK homes are among the worst insulated in Europe, meaning families will be forced into paying even higher heating bills this winter. Some research done by climate management company Tado sampled more than 80,000 European homes and it was found that houses in the uk lose heat much quicker than ones in European countries.

Additionally, newer research published on Tuesday by the office for National Statistics analysing energy efficiency of housing in England and Wales, showed very large disparities in home insulation quality between different UK areas.

Homes in the United Kingdom are losing heat at up to three times the rate as those in Germany. According to research, a UK home that has an indoor temperature of 20 degrees Celsius and an outside temperature of 0 degrees would lose an average of 3 degrees after just 5 hours.
