DICK VAN DYKE TURNS 97

Dick Van Dyke had a smile and a cheeky joke for fans in Malibu, as he was out and about on Tuesday, his 97th birthday.

The Mary Poppins legend was as spry as ever, and looked like a man at least a decade younger!

Despite reaching such an impressive age, he told well wishers that he did not have anything special planned for the day.

The popular actor, who was launched to stardom all the way back in 1961 thanks to the original production of Bye Bye Birdie, lives out in sunny LA with his second wife Arlene Silver, whom he married in 2012.


Mary Poppins was released on 24th December 1964 in the UK - almost exactly 58 years ago, and he starred with national treasure Julie Andrews, who is now 87 years old.
