HUGE AMOUNT OF EVRI PARCELS FOUND IN WOODLAND

BY VICTORIA WADLEY
A man has been arrested and released on bail until March 6th following the discovery of a huge amount of parcels, letter and boxes near Ash Tree Lane in Luton, by a local resident on December 4 although it is believed that could have been stolen at any time from the 28th November.

The horde of swiped mail is said to have been stolen from an Evri delivery depot in Aylesford. Evri, formerly knows as Hermes has apologised to affected customers and confirmed that they have launched an investigation.

This is not the only challenge the delivery service are facing as Labour MP Carolyn Harris told the House of Commons

‘Many people across the UK are facing Christmas misery as online shopping deliveries have been delayed or lost by delivery firm Evri. After expressing concerns about this company on social media, I have been inundated with stories of late or lost parcels, no or poor customer service, drivers earning less than the national living wage, drivers' pay being withheld, and pathetic petrol allowance which is insufficient to cover increased fuel charges. A classic case of corporate greed over staff welfare and customer service.'

It looks like there is more trouble ahead for Evri.
