GUARDIA CIVIL FORCE ACCUSES BRITISH GIANT TESCO OVER PAELLA SANDWICH

Spain's Guardia Civil accused supermarket Tesco of creating a health threat with a paella sandwich. The Guardia Civil force accused the British supermarket giant Tesco of creating a health hazard by using its nation's traditional rice dish as a sandwich filling.

You'd think Spanish police had enough on their plates tackling crime – but now they shifted their focus to take Tesco to task over a "heretical" paella sandwich.

During International Paella Day five days ago, officers tweeted:

¿Qué hoy es el #DíaMundialDeLaPaella?...
Pues a celebrarlo con una... pero de las buenas, no esas cosas que venden por ahí...

El "sándwich de paella" para unos es herejía, para otros degüella el buen gusto y hasta podría atentar contra la salud

Paella is a rice dish from the Valencia region of Spain, usually served with meats, seafood and vegetables.

The paella sandwich was created ten years ago for a newspaper stunt, but it seems the Spanish have never forgotten the perceived attack.
