I QUIT MY JOB IN A SUPERMARKET TO SELL BURPS IN A JAR FOR A LIVING
BY VICTORIA WADLEY
Previously he made £1,300 a month working in supermarkets and he had maxed out his credit cards when he decided to fulfil people's fetishes online and change his life – and his family is fully behind him.
Curtis's first dabbled with the fetishes in 2018 but he didn't quit his job until November 2019, and now has a studio dedicated to his craft.
Curtis is quoted as saying: "The list is endless when it comes to strange requests. One guy wanted me to gulp down a bottle of Coca Cola, burp into a jar, seal the jar and post it to him.
I made the decision to quit retail in November 2019 due to my mental health – I'd worked in retail all my life and it got to the point where I'd had enough and couldn't deal with human interaction anymore. I converted my spare bedroom into a content room and my first goal was to figure out a way to set myself aside from other content creators and find my own niche.
I never forget my roots or where I come from, so I count my blessings every day really.
I was in a lot of debt with maxed-out credit cards, loans to pay off – I was £5k in debt so I was working full-time to have money for bills and travel to work. No matter what job I threw myself into it felt like I didn't have much disposable income left.
He added: I'm proof you can have a chubby belly and chest hair in this line of work. I'm not focused on tirelessly working in retail and I get to have my own time, work when I want to, and focus on my mental stability.
My family are absolutely supportive, they could see how much I was bringing in and could see a change in my happiness as well.
