The Brit and Grammy award winning artist will please one person with this news, her old English teacher Ms McDonald. She had a surprising reunion with her old teacher at an ITV comeback concert last year in front of a star studded audience.
During an audience with Adele segment of the show, she was asked questions by celebrities, one of which came from "Love Actually" star Emma Thompson, who asked her who had inspired her as a youngster. She replied with a a story about her old teacher saying:
"She was cool and so relatable and likeable, that I really looked forward to my English lessons. She left in year eight but she got me really into literature, I've always been obsessed with English and obviously now I write lyrics," Adele explained. "She was so cool, so engaging, and she really made us care, and we knew that she cared about us and stuff like that."
Adele then got a massive surprise as her old teacher was in the audience and she joined the singer on stage.
"You're amazing darling, I am so proud of you,"
she told Adele, bringing her to tears, so much so that she had to get her make-up fixed before carrying on with the show.Source: BBC News
